PLANS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The holidays are fast approaching and once again this year your family and friends here at Decker would like to share some holiday cheer! The elves have been very busy preparing a special gift for you…
The end of the year brings a special gift;
Three holidays give our spirits a lift.
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s too,
May they bring lots of joy and pleasure to you.
Keep your eyes and hearts open and the second
week of December the postman will deliver an
extra special holiday gift from us to you!
Because we want to make certain that you and your family receive your gift, please confirm your mailing address with your Fleet Manager; this is also very important as W2’s will be mailed in January.
An Extra Thank You – also, as in the past, Decker will pay you an extra $100 for each of the following holidays if you are out on the road/under a load – Thanksgiving, Christmas and/or New Year’s Day.
Please Plan Out Your Holiday Work Schedule – is it very important that you communicate your holiday work schedule with your Fleet Manager. We need to know what our working percentage is going to look like for the next 8 weeks. As usual, we expect to be extremely busy this holiday season.

TRANSFLO/GEOTAB
There seems to be some confusion on the Hours of Service area on your new GeoTab units. For some additional information and clarification, please read through this Transflo Telematics Driver’s Guide to HOS – Transflo Guide. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact the Safety Department at Ext. 2313 if you have any further questions.
KEEP TRACK OF YOUR KEYS
Recently we have seen an uptick in Drivers locking themselves out of their trucks. This is a great expense to the company – the average cost being $250-$350. Remembering to carry an extra key with you at all times will help reduce these events as well as for your safety as colder temperatures are upon us. The Fort Dodge, Missoula and Bessemer Maintenance Facilities can all supply you with an extra key for your truck if you’d like, just let them know. Reefer Drivers also remember to keep an extra key for your trailer locks with you too.
