Open Enrollment is November 9th through November 20th, 2020. Employees who want to make changes or enroll for 2021 should take action during Open Enrollment. All elections for Flexible Spending for 2021 must be made during Open Enrollment. All current benefit elections EXCEPT Flexible Spending will be carried over to 2021 unless you take action to make changes during Open Enrollment.
 
Open Enrollment is your once-a-year chance to elect, waive, and/or adjust benefit coverages and add/drop dependents. Upon electing pre-tax deducted benefits, you will not be able to make changes until the next Open Enrollment period, unless you experience a qualifying life event.

BENEFIT HIGHLIGHTS!  

Medical plans will remain the same with a slight change to employee contributions. No changes to Dental, Vision, Life and Disability plans and rates. Critical Illness Plan Enhancements: The plan features more covered conditions than the previous plan. If you are currently enrolled in the Unum Critical Illness Plan, you will be automatically rolled over to the new plan. If already enrolled, you do not need to take any action unless you want to add dependents, drop or make changes to your coverage elections. New Attained Age/Uni-Tobacco Rates – The Unum Critical Illness rates are based on your attained age, similar to the Voluntary Supplemental Life Insurance plan. This is a change from the prior plan, which was based on your age as of the original effective date when you elected the coverage. This change will save most employees money, while also allowing Decker Truck Line to streamline processes in the future. Additionally, your tobacco use will no longer be a factor in your premium. New Increments – Previously, employees could select Critical Illness coverage in $1,000 increments for both employees and spouses. The new Unum plan offers 3 choices for employees ($10,000, $20,000 or $30,000). Spouses and children will be covered at 50% of the employee’s amount. Children are covered at no additional cost. You will be enrolled at your current volume or rounded up to the next closest increment (Example – An employee with $15,000 of coverage will be automatically enrolled in $20,000). Accident Plan Enhancements: The Unum Accident plan has lower rates with a similar plan design! If you are currently enrolled in the 2020 Accident plan, you will be automatically rolled over to the new plan in the same tier. If already enrolled, you do not need to take action unless you want to add dependents, drop or make changes to your coverage elections.
