In an effort to protect the health of all Decker employees and Professional Drivers and to help stop the spread of COVID-19, effective Friday, August 21, 2020, we are implementing mandatory temperature checks for everyone entering the Decker buildings and/or the Decker properties. This new company policy will be implemented at our Fort Dodge facilities first and then at all of our outlying terminals in the near future.
Upon arrival at the Decker Fort Dodge terminal, please put your face covering on (if you don’t have one, they will give you one at the Welcome Center window) and proceed to the Welcome Center drive-thru. The staff there will be able to reach through the window and take your temperature with a hand-held, no-touch device.
If your temperature reads 100 degrees or more you will be asked to park by the PDC and stay in your truck without coming into close contact with anyone if at all possible.
We understand that you may need to leave your truck to use the restroom/facilities. When doing so, you must wear a mask, sanitize before and after and maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from all others. During business hours please call HR immediately and if after business hours please call HR at 8:00 a.m. the next business morning. You can reach someone at one of these extensions: 2340, 2350, 2381. Also, if in Fort Dodge, we advise you to call the Community Health Center in town and make an appointment for an instant COVID-19 test as soon as possible: 515-576-6500.
