NATIONAL TRUCK DRIVER APPRECIATION WEEK:

Although we appreciate our Decker Professional Drivers all year, National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is set for the week of September 13-19, 2020.  Because of the dreaded COVID-19, we have been challenged with changing things up this year.  So instead of our vendors providing lunches for all Drivers at our various terminals, they have decided to give every one of our Drivers a $15.00 Pilot/Flying J Gift Card so you can all still enjoy lunch at your convenience!  We at Decker also have a special gift for you!  Please stop at one of these terminals – Fort Dodge, Mediapolis, Hammond, Bessemer or Missoula – for your Decker gift bag filled with snacks, your lunch gift card and a special scratch off card.  With your scratch-off card, you will receive one (1) of the following:

$100 Visa Card; $50 Walmart Gift Card; Portable Vacuum; Decker Flashlight Set; or a $15 Pilot/Flying J Gift Card

THANK YOU TO OUR DTL PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS FOR ALL YOU DO, ALL YEAR!

LOW CLEARANCES:

The costs associated with events or accidents involving striking an overpass can be staggering, not to mention that your safety could be in grave danger!  Whether you are pulling a dry van, reefer or flatbed, the cost of repairs and damaged cargo can add up very quickly.  However, these events can also be easily avoided by using common sense and adhering to some simple guidelines.  Please see page two for these very important guidelines.

SEPTEMBER 9-11, 2020:

Please prepare for and note these dates.  The emphasis for 2020 International Roadcheck will be on roadside inspection Professional Driver requirements. The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) chose to focus on Driver requirements this year to highlight the importance of this vital category of the roadside inspection process.  Please see page three for complete details of these Driver Requirements.

HERE’S SOME GREAT NEWS!!!:

At the Fort Dodge Terminal, we have new washers and dryers for all Drivers to use!  These are located:

  • PDC (Professional Drivers Center); and
  • The Drivers’ Motel

Please adhere to the directions and instructions posted in these locations – – especially, do not overload either the washers or the dryers, doing so can damage the appliances and will only prolong the drying time.  THANK YOU!
